The Cancer Research UK shop in Bury Street have been having a repaint, and a refit. The shop is 20 years old now and is well supported by shoppers and donors alike.
Their window says “One day we will beat cancer. Help us make it sooner.”
The shop re-opened this morning. There to re-open the shop were two specialist nurses, the Mayor and her baby daughter, and Penny Clover, one of the Abingdon town criers, and Clare who sent me an email letting me know about the refit.
P.S. Dedicated to all those for whom it won’t be soon enough.
A wonderful charity – I am a regular visitor there and can’t wait for it to re-open. Nice dedication too.
I am an avid visitor to charity shops. I wish them well with the reopening.
Samantha was particularly pleased to be invited to open the refurbished Cancer Research shop as it is a cause close to both our hearts as we both lost our Mums to cancer.
She also picked up a great wooden toy farm set for Charley 🙂
I love the clenched fist salute Charley is making in the photo.
Power to the toddlers.
