Churchill Retirement Living will be building retirement apartments on the site of the old Bellinger car dealership.
It is not going to be the new home of Harley Davidson, Oxfordshire, who recently moved from their showroom in Wootton. They have moved instead to Nuffield Way – on the Abingdon Business Park.
I wonder if a condition of the planning permission will be that access through the site to Mullard Way/Bostock Road will need to be provided as a thoroughfare for fire station vehicles to use during the Ock Fair as I believe is presently the case?
That’s a very good question Nigel, just as important is the right of way that’s been well established by people walking through from Bostock?
I suppose the fire engines could go straight up Mayot rd and through the school ?
Churchill’s initial plans showed the access to the new retirement complex would be via Mullard Way and only pedestrian access from Ock street. It allowed for 1 parking space per domain. and zero visitors/staff parking
