The Abingdon Artists’ Spring Exhibition started today, Monday, 1st April, and runs to Saturday, 6th April (10:00am-4:30pm) at St Nicolas Church.
The exhibition includes a wide range of art works by different Abingdon artists. A number of them will also be exhibiting with other groups during Oxfordshire Art Weeks in May.
As well as the exhibition and the chance to buy framed and unframed works, and cards, there is a raffle. First prize is a painting of the Ridgeway.
Sally Mears is a well known local musician who has been helping with the music for the Abingdon Passion Play this Saturday. She also had a picture in the exhibition on the same subject.
Still very much about Abingdon I’m pleased to see finally a planning application has been submitted to re-build the fire damaged children’s charity shop in Bath street, and very good they look too!
