Saxton Arms has permission to become a Shop

Saxton Arms Shop
The premises, previously known as the Saxton Arms Public House, has been given planning permission to become a shop by the Vale of White Horse District Council.

Now the premises are ‘closed for refurbishment’.

It will be interesting to see what sort of shop this will now become.

Bookies, off license, Tesco Express? Incidentally there are large pot holes in the car park outside the Reynolds Way shops. Oxfordshire Highways Department said that as it was a private car park it was not in their jurisdiction to repair them. I spoke to the properties department at the Vale and they said that they would look into it and get back to me as they own the shop buildings. However, not a peep to say what their findings were and the pot holes are getting bigger.

Update on the potholes. Spoke to Properties at the Vale and they are contracting to repair the potholes which should be done in the next 3 to 4 weeks. Great news.
