Eggs and Chicks and Plastic

Eggs and Chicks and Plastic
Oxfam had Divine Easter Eggs without plastic. Green and Black Easter Eggs at Waitrose did not use plastic. Most of the other Easter Egg producers still use plastic.
Eggs and Chicks and Plastic
Eggs hatch and little chicks are to be seen in Abingdon this Easter – lots of them.

Our attempt to get through lent without plastic was not easy. The homemade toothpaste did not taste good and may have blocked up the sink. But we will be more aware of where we can get produce without excess packaging now. It must be made easier for all.

Why do producers need plastic as well as cardboard round Easter Eggs in any case?

    Don’t give up plastic.

    It’s a bandwagon.

Not all plastic is bad. Our use of it could be revised.and may need to change, but it is not the devil.
