The link <a href=\"http:\/\/groupspaces.com\/AbingdonFreewheeling\/pages\/spring-cycle-festival\">Spring Cycle Festival 2013<\/a> has information about what is on.&nbsp; Last year the PCSOs were there to promote cycling safety.<\/p>\n<p>Cycling in and around Abingdon is easy and fun because the roads around here are so flat but there are some roads where it could be made safer. The front page of the Herald last week had an announcement that the Department of Transport and Oxford County Council are spending \u00a3300,000 to improve cycling on the Wootton Road &#8211; a busy road where many school children go about on bikes.<br \/>\n<object height=\"236\" width=\"420\"><param name=\"movie\" value=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/ub9kI0KIOQQ?version=3&amp;hl=en_US\"><\/param><param name=\"allowFullScreen\" value=\"true\"><\/param><param name=\"allowscriptaccess\" value=\"always\"><\/param><embed src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/v\/ub9kI0KIOQQ?version=3&amp;hl=en_US\" type=\"application\/x-shockwave-flash\" width=\"420\" height=\"236\" allowscriptaccess=\"always\" allowfullscreen=\"true\"><\/embed><\/object><br \/>\nIn this video I saw a lot of road users moving into the path of others, and hazards like potholes and bumps that can throw a bike off course.
