{"id":7511,"date":"2012-10-12T00:01:48","date_gmt":"2012-10-11T23:01:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/?p=7511"},"modified":"2012-10-12T00:01:48","modified_gmt":"2012-10-11T23:01:48","slug":"progress-at-the-abbey-shopping-centre","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/?p=7511","title":{"rendered":"Progress at the Abbey Shopping Centre"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Quite a lot has happened in two weeks since the last look at progress at the Abbey Shopping Centre.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Abbey Shopping Centre Progress\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12101104.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nThe day after that last update I got this shot of the contractors leveling the upper concrete floor (Thanks for this shot).<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Abbey Shopping Centre Progress\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12101101.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nToday they were placing what looked like large insulating sheets on the roof (they confused me for a bit as I commented on twitter there had been a delivery of mattresses).<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Abbey Shopping Centre Progress\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12101102.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nToday it rained most of the time so it was NOT good to work outside, and probably not that good either for the French Market &#8211; with us from Thursday to Saturday.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Abbey Shopping Centre Progress\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12101103.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nFlat roofs are out, and gable ends are in, above the existing units of the Abbey Shopping Centre.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Abbey Shopping Centre Progress\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12101105.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nThe large tree near Superdrug has had a lot of micro surgery round its roots to put in new services. The leaves will soon be falling, from autumn and not from being killed.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Abbey Shopping Centre Progress\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12101106.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nMeanwhile new block paving has started to be laid adjacent to Costa. Amazingly the shops still continue to trade with all of this building work going on.
