{"id":7364,"date":"2012-09-23T23:26:56","date_gmt":"2012-09-23T22:26:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/?p=7364"},"modified":"2012-09-23T23:26:56","modified_gmt":"2012-09-23T22:26:56","slug":"saturday-only","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/?p=7364","title":{"rendered":"Saturday Only"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It has been raining most of Sunday as the weather forecast predicted.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12092306.jpg\" alt=\"Motocross at Culham Park\" \/><br \/>\nFor three or four weeks now, an event at Culham Park (over the River Thames from Abingdon) has been advertised around Abingdon on roadside signs.<\/p>\n<p>The event combined Motocross with a family amusement event.<\/p>\n<p>As the event neared, the weather forecast looked good for Saturday but bad for Sunday. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>And so \u00a0&#8220;Saturday Only&#8221; \u00a0appeared on signs. The main events were switched to Saturday as the organisers did not want to fall victim to the weather. There was still Motocross on the rainy Sunday and could be seen from across the river.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12092303.jpg\" alt=\"Motocross at Culham Park\" \/><br \/>\nAs it happens they had a glorious Saturday at the Motocross and Kids Zone.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12092305.jpg\" alt=\"Motocross at Culham Park\" \/><br \/>\nSunday morning started overcast and then the rain set in and has continued until now.
