They seem very late starters though for the cricket season.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12081806.jpg\" alt=\"Between Seasons\" \/><br \/>\nToday was the start of the football season and it fell on one of the hottest days of the summer. Abingdon Town were at home to Ascot and won 3-1. (Abingdon United&#8217;s first home game is on Tuesday at 7:45pm against Swindon Supermarine.)<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12081803.jpg\" alt=\"Between Seasons\" \/><br \/>\nToday also saw the 57th running of the Rugby 7s competition at Abingdon Rugby Union Football Club.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12081808.jpg\" alt=\"Between Seasons\" \/><br \/>\nThere were also two games of cricket at Abingdon Vale Cricket Club.  The 2nd XI were playing Kimble, and the\u00a04th XI were playing Shipton-under-Wychwood 3rd team.
