Silvana Froli came all the way from Lucca to perform.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12051504.jpg\" alt=\"Abingdon Opera House\" \/><br \/>\nMichael Matthews was the Mayor of Abingdon at the first ever Abingdon-Lucca twinning ceremony &#8211; forty years ago.
