The stop is used by the Abingdon Town Bus service on its route round and through Abingdon. The barriers stretch some way beyond the bus stop, and also have the effect of\u00a0not allowing\u00a0people to cross the road before the designated crossing.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag12\/12011204.jpg\" alt=\"Please Accept Our Apologies\" \/><br \/>\nThe notice at the stop says &#8220;<em>Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience<\/em>.&#8221;\u00a0 The <strong>our<\/strong> in this sentence is Oxfordshire County Council who must have their reasons but no reason is given.<\/p>\n<p>Has there been a serious incident at or near this stop ? Are they just checking out whether the traffic will run more smoothly without a bus stop?
