More scaffolding surrounded the Blacknall\u2019s tomb, which was built for John Blacknall and his wife, who died &#8216;at one instant of time&#8217; in August 1625 \u2014 four hundred years ago.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag25\/2025051407.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nTwo restorers were at work, repairing missing plaster and touching up the paint round the monument.
