{"id":33653,"date":"2025-04-21T23:25:47","date_gmt":"2025-04-21T22:25:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/abingdonblog.co.uk\/?p=33653"},"modified":"2025-04-21T23:25:47","modified_gmt":"2025-04-21T22:25:47","slug":"paws-play-willows-fun-games-community-spirit","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/?p=33653","title":{"rendered":"Paws &#038; Play @ Willows: Fun, Games &#038; Community Spirit"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Thankyou to Sarah for letting me know more about the fun, games and crafts at 18 Bury Street.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag25\/25042101.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nWillows has a new name \u2014 Paws &amp; Play @ Willows<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag25\/25042108.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nIf you visit say hello to Harry, the black and white pup, who supervises the gaming and craft domain upstairs, that also spills downstairs,<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag25\/25042109.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nand to to Lewie (the co-owner\u2019s dog) &#8211; another reason to <em>paws<\/em>.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag25\/25042106.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nThere are board games every day, with a bigger event every third weekend of the month.<\/p>\n<p>Evening events, including murder mysteries, pendulum art, and BBQs.<\/p>\n<p>Most events are <em>non-profit<\/em>, raising money for four local charities: Against Cancer, Nasio, OAS, and Cats Protection.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag25\/25042110.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nThere are crafts, which included a look-a-like Bob Ross paint day.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag25\/25042111.jpg\" \/><br \/>\nThey will help organise this summer\u2019s <em>Splash of Pink Day<\/em> in the Market Square (Saturday 12th July) \u2014 and will be giving it a a new name after a public vote starting this Tuesday and ending on 28th April 2025.
