Ditches are full to overflowing and country roads have large puddles.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag21\/21013100j.jpg\" alt=\"Sunrise over the Abingdon floodplain\" \/><br \/>\nI went out for an early morning walk with the sky showing shades of pink. The River Thames floodplain is again flooded &#8211; as seen above at the Abbey Vale Cricket ground.<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag21\/21013100o.jpg\" alt=\"Sunrise over the Abingdon floodplain\" \/><br \/>\nRye Farm Meadow is flooded round the houses and cottages by Abingdon Bridge.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag21\/21013104d.jpg\" alt=\"Sunrise over the Abingdon floodplain\" \/><br \/>\nAt the Abbey Meadow there were two other people taking pictures of the sun rising over the flooded landscape. One I know puts very good pictures on Facebook.<\/p>\n<p>There was thin ice on the fringes of the floodwater.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag21\/21013102.jpg\" alt=\"Sunrise over the Abingdon floodplain\" \/><br \/>\nThe sun rising over the horizon was reflected in the water.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag21\/21013101.jpg\" alt=\"Sunrise over the Abingdon floodplain\" \/><br \/>\nThe early sunlight gilded the wall near the open air pool.<\/p>\n<p>P.S.
