It contained a fascinating history of May Day celebrations put together by one of the Oxford Waites.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag20\/20050112.jpg\" alt=\"May Morning in Abingdon\" \/><br \/>\nFabulous Flowers&#8217; flower containers shone in the early morning sun. For any in the florist trade it must be a nightmare trying to guess what will happen in the weeks and months ahead.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag20\/20050101.jpg\" alt=\"May Morning in Abingdon\" \/><br \/>\nOn the far side of The River Thames some adult geese were shepherding their young.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag20\/20050105.jpg\" alt=\"May Morning in Abingdon\" \/><br \/>\nThey were a little wary but not aggressive.
