The notice warns Severe Delays Expected &#8211; Find Alternative Route.<\/p>\n<p>But it does not say from what time to what and having searched on google I am none the wiser so cannot advise whether you should risk going to Tesco or not.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag10\/10051102.jpg\" alt=\"road works on Marcham Road\" \/><br \/>\nThis is the culmination of the work to cut a corner off the McDonalds Roundabout and ease the way into Colwell Drive.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag10\/10051103.jpg\" alt=\"horse chestnut trees\" \/><br \/>\nThe scheme got a bit controversial because a District Council Tree Officer slapped a tree protection notice on a Horse Chestnut tree and delayed the works.<\/p>\n<p>Good to see that those Horse Chestnuts are still putting on a good show and the work is nearly complete.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Resurfacing work is to take place on the Marcham Road this coming Saturday.
