The day began with a short speech by the Mayor of Abingdon, and a performance by the Oxford Caledonian Pipes and Drums.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19101206.jpg\" alt=\"Splash of Pink\" \/><br \/>\nThe event was organised by againstbreastcancer.org.uk &#8211; an Abingdon based charity that funds research into secondary spread, the main cause of breast cancer related deaths.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19101207.jpg\" alt=\"Splash of Pink\" \/><br \/>\nThere were lots of stalls including one selling cakes.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19101202.jpg\" alt=\"Splash of Pink\" \/><br \/>\nThere were strange characters from other worlds,<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19101208.jpg\" alt=\"Splash of Pink\" \/><br \/>\nand musical entertainment.
