They are marking the merger of their Vineys and Lee Longlands, Abingdon showrooms, and the Mayor of Abingdon was there to cut the ribbon. The Vineys showroom closed as part of the Fairacres phase 2 development.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19101004.jpg\" alt=\"Lee Longlands and Vineys\" \/><br \/>\nLee Longlands took over Vineys in 2002. Both businesses have been established well over 100 years. Lee Longlands was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.leelonglands.co.uk\/blogs\/lee-longlands-celebrates-110-years-in-business\/2.htm\">established in 1902<\/a> in Birmingham, and Vineys was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.aaahs.org.uk\/files\/Viola%20Crowe%20talk%20on%20Vineys.pdf\">established in the 1870s<\/a> in Abingdon.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19101007.jpg\" alt=\"Lee Longlands and Vineys\" \/><br \/>\nThe store merger sees both Lee Longlands and Vineys styles of furniture in different areas of the store.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19101003.jpg\" alt=\"Lee Longlands and Vineys\" \/><br \/>\nVineys have had a number of different premises in Abingdon, selling drapery and furniture. This picture shows a shop in High Street.
