Then just before 7 am there was a siren, and one chap sent up a drone to get an aerial view.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19081805.jpg\" alt=\"Cooling Tower Demolition\" \/><br \/>\nAt 7 am there was an explosion and the towers began to fall to the ground.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19081808.jpg\" alt=\"Cooling Tower Demolition\" \/><br \/>\nIt only took a few seconds<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19081810.jpg\" alt=\"Cooling Tower Demolition\" \/><br \/>\nfor all three to collapse.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19081816.jpg\" alt=\"Cooling Tower Demolition\" \/><br \/>\nThere was a cheer from the crowds when they were all down.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19081815.jpg\" alt=\"Cooling Tower Demolition\" \/><br \/>\nPeople started to head off as the clouds of dust cleared.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag19\/19081817.jpg\" alt=\"Cooling Tower Demolition\" \/><br \/>\nI heard screams and saw a yellow flash in the field behind us. Through a hedge I could see what looked like bright lights chasing people.
