The Christmas Tree and Giant Candles were put up in the Market Place.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag17\/17112303.jpg\" alt=\"Christmas\" \/><br \/>\nThe last of the larger decorations were also hooked up above the High Street.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.abingdonchamber.co.uk\/christmas.php\">Abingdon Christmas Extravaganza<\/a>, organised by Abingdon Chamber of Commerce,&nbsp;will be on December 2nd. That weekend also sees the <a href=\"https:\/\/friendsofabingdon.org.uk\/event\/abingdon-beer-festival\/\">Abingdon Beer Festival<\/a>&nbsp;at the Abbey Buildings on December 1st and 2nd. <\/p>\n<p>This weekend, on Saturday 25th November, <a href=\"http:\/\/trinityabingdon.org.uk\/\">Trinity Church<\/a> has a Christmas Fair, and <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20180122135648\/http:\/\/sthelenabingdon.cloudaccess.net:80\/events.html\">St Helen&#8217;s Church<\/a> has a Christmas Market. <\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There was a big effort today to get everything ready in time.
