This is on the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20161012054034\/http:\/\/www.abingdon.gov.uk\/guildhall\/guildhall-improvement-project\">Abingdon Portal<\/a> and on noticeboards round the town. So I thought I would also announce &#8230; <\/p>\n<p><strong>Let me tell you of the Guildhall<br \/>\nIts rooms for public use &#8211;<br \/>\nSome ancient and some modern<br \/>\nall fused without excuse.<\/p>\n<p>One end has lots of concrete,<br \/>\nA nineteen sixties build<br \/>\nThat doesn&#8217;t fit the heritage &#8211;<br \/>\nOf a hall for an ancient Guild.<\/p>\n<p>New plans will be on display<br \/>\nthat change the modern end<br \/>\nwith a new glazed public piazza<br \/>\nto meet the latest trend.<br \/>\n<\/strong><br \/>\nThe plans will also include the removal of the front external escape stair and front and rear concrete ramps.
