The bells are in Abingdon today to help promote the <a href=\"https:\/\/web.archive.org\/web\/20160524104658\/http:\/\/sthelenabingdon.cloudaccess.net:80\/hope-within-us.html\">Hope within Us<\/a> events, that begin in a week. Everybody can have a go, and sign the visitors book.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag16\/16050701.jpg\" alt=\"Gerontius Amenity Fund\" \/><br \/>\nAlso on the Market Place was a stall raising money for Christian Aid, and for the Gerontius Amenity Fund &#8211; a charity founded in 2012 by people with contacts in Sierra Leone to provide health care for poor people.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>There is a mini-ring of bells on the Market Place this morning.
