There were stalls all along Bath Street, and entertainment on the Market Place.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15112801.jpg\" alt=Christmas Extravaganza 2015\" \/><br \/>\nThe day really got going with the Parade. It included, among other community groups, the 11th Abingdon Rainbows,<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15112802.jpg\" alt=Christmas Extravaganza 2015\" \/><br \/>\nand Abingdon Traditional Morris Dancers.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15112803.jpg\" alt=Christmas Extravaganza 2015\" \/><br \/>\nThe parade was led by the Oxford Calidonian Pipes &amp; Drums, and included Paddington Bear,<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15112804.jpg\" alt=Christmas Extravaganza 2015\" \/><br \/>\nand Father Christmas, who spent the rest of the day meeting children.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15112805.jpg\" alt=Christmas Extravaganza 2015\" \/><br \/>\nI did hear that there had been snow among the fine rain at the end of the parade, but later saw a snow machine at Breckon and Breckon, so it could have been that.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15112800.jpg\" alt=Christmas Extravaganza 2015\" \/><br \/>\nElsewhere in Abingdon town centre, there was a Fairtrade and Craft Fair in the warmth of St Ethelwolds house; and entertainment and a jumble  sale at St Nicolas Church.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15112806.jpg\" alt=Christmas Extravaganza 2015\" \/><br \/>\nAt the end of the afternoon the crowds gathered in the Market Place, despite the rain, to listen to the Community Choir then watch fire jugglers.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15112807.jpg\" alt=Christmas Extravaganza 2015\" \/><br \/>\nThe Christmas Lights were turned on at 5:30pm, followed by some amazing fireworks.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15113002.jpg\" alt=Christmas Extravaganza 2015\" \/><br \/>\nP.S.
