{"id":14041,"date":"2015-05-14T20:19:42","date_gmt":"2015-05-14T19:19:42","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/?p=14041"},"modified":"2015-05-14T20:19:42","modified_gmt":"2015-05-14T19:19:42","slug":"museums-at-night-2015-abingdon-museum","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/?p=14041","title":{"rendered":"Museums at Night 2015 &#8211; Abingdon Museum"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15051401.jpg\" alt=\"Museums at Night\" \/><br \/>\nLast night, Abingdon County Hall Museum opened its doors from 5pm-9pm for an evening of free entertainment for all.<\/p>\n<p>Performers included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Oxford Horns,<\/li>\n<li>Opera Anywhere<\/li>\n<li>Ian Miles and The Mulberry Band<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15051404.jpg\" alt=\"Museums at Night\" \/><br \/>\n<strong>+<\/strong> Raw Diva, a talented all female dance group from Oxford.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15051403.jpg\" alt=\"Museums at Night\" \/><br \/>\nRaw Diva were raising money for <a href=\"http:\/\/www.blueskyethinking.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Blue Skye Thinking<\/a>, a local charity which supports research so that all children diagnosed with brain tumours will have a better chance of survival. It is also one of the charities of Helen Pighills, the new Abingdon Mayor. The other is the Breakaway Club.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15051415.jpg\" alt=\"Museums at Night\" \/><br \/>\nThe museum opening was an opportunity to experience the museum in a new light<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag15\/15051418.jpg\" alt=\"Museums at Night\" \/><br \/>\nand to watch the setting sun from the museum roof.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Last night, Abingdon County Hall Museum opened its doors from 5pm-9pm for an evening of free entertainment for all.
