The workman thought I wanted the picture in order to complain because they had started so early.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"West St Helen Street - during mend\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag10\/10073002.jpg\" \/><br \/>\n&#8220;Far from it&#8221; I said, and returned this evening to take another picture, now the job is done.<\/p>\n<p>Looks like the backlog is getting cleared now that the County Council have a new contractor.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>At the end of June I said that West St Helen Street was the most uncared for street in Abingdon.
