Instead of 7 wards Abingdon will now have 5 and each ward will get two district councillors from the 2015 elections.<\/p>\n<p>There are currently 21 town councillors and they need to be divided among those 5 wards and their future is still to be decided.<\/p>\n<p>The proposal put out for consultation is:<\/p>\n<p>To rename Fitzharris North parish ward as Fitzharris Wildmoor<br \/>\nTo rename Fitzharris South parish ward as Fitzharris Ock<br \/>\nTo reduce the number of councillors for Abingdon-on-Thames town council<br \/>\nfrom 21 to 19 and to allocate them by parish ward as follows:<br \/>\nAbbey 2<br \/>\nCaldecott 4<br \/>\nDunmore 4<br \/>\nFitzharris Ock 2<br \/>\nFitzharris Wildmoor 1<br \/>\nNorthcourt 2<br \/>\nPeachcroft 4<\/p>\n<p>If you do have any comments on the proposal send replies on or before 31 May 2014 by email to cgr@southandvale.gov.uk<\/p>\n<p>or write to the Vale of White Horse District Council at:<br \/>\nCGR<br \/>\nVale of White Horse District Council<br \/>\nLegal and Democratic Services<br \/>\nBenson Lane<br \/>\nCrowmarsh Gifford<br \/>\nWallingford<br \/>\nOX10 8ED<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The new District Council boundaries for The Vale of White Horse District Council were recently decided.
