{"id":10758,"date":"2014-02-06T20:54:20","date_gmt":"2014-02-06T19:54:20","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/?p=10758"},"modified":"2014-02-06T20:54:20","modified_gmt":"2014-02-06T19:54:20","slug":"the-information-centre-in-old-abbey-house-before-the-move","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/?p=10758","title":{"rendered":"The Information Centre in Old Abbey House (How it looks before the Move)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag14\/14020601.jpg\" alt=\"The Information Centre\" \/><br \/>\nI popped into the Information Centre at lunch time to find out what is happening in Abingdon over the weekend &#8211; entertainment-wise.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag14\/14020602.jpg\" alt=\"The Information Centre\" \/><br \/>\nThe Town Council started running a Information Centre in 2005, after the Bridge Street tourist information centre had it&#8217;s District Council grant cut, and then closed.<\/p>\n<p>(The current Information Centre will be moving to new premises when the Town Council moves to the Guildhall in the coming months.)<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag14\/14020603.jpg\" alt=\"The Information Centre\" \/><br \/>\nAnyway, on Saturday, the Isis Chamber Orchestra have a concert with music by French Composers &#8211;  raising money for the Archway Foundation.<br \/>\n<img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.abingdonblog.co.uk\/imag14\/14020604.jpg\" alt=\"The Information Centre\" \/><br \/>\nThen on Sunday at the Unicorn Theatre there is a show called Margarita &amp; The House of Love. You can be transported to the warmth of a house in sunny Spain for a couple of hours.
