After Remembering

A thousand ages in Thy sight
Are like an evening gone;
Short as the watch that ends the night
Before the rising sun.

Our God, our help in ages past,
Our hope for years to come,
Our shelter from the stormy blast,
And our eternal home.

The Terminal

Home Group - Autumn 2009

Many films have Christian themes in them, even though they don’t set out to be religious.  The story of 'The Terminal' is about Viktor Navorksi (Tom Hanks) who falls into a bureaucratic crack in the system when his plane lands at New York's JFK airport from the fictitious country of Krakozhia. Unbeknownst to Navorski, his country fell prey to a military coup while he was in flight, causing it to be wiped from the map. This effectively renders his passport null and void, meaning he cannot legally enter America, nor return to his now nonexistent home. Barely able to speak English, the hapless Navorski is offered a sanctuary of sorts by kindly staff members, who allow him to freely inhabit the airport………

The themes we pick up from the film will look at different parts of Jesus’ life and ministry,
