Stratton Way Changes

The road works have already started at the top end of Stratton Way. They will run for another 3 to 4 weeks.

Elsewhere in Stratton Way there is a new church on Sundays from 11 - 12:30 at the NET youth centre. For anybody who has been enjoying watching 'Around the World in 80 Religions' this church could be of interest. It had its origin in Nigeria in 1952. They have already set up a church in Barton in Oxford.

Are they planning to narrow the path on the other side as that is massively wide randomly?

Not sure now. I assumed they would but will wait and see. There is a lot of unused space this side.

Interesting to see a that Britain's fastest growing black Pentecostal denomination is setting up meetings in Abingdon? Abingdon isn't exactly the most mixed place on earth and its black community is tiny compared to say somewhere like East Oxford?

Now if only as part of the revamp of Stratton Way some one from the council could remove that awful National Front sign as well (I noticed a while ago that some right minded soul had tried to disguise it with a deft bit of graffiti) but it's not exactly a welcoming sign on one of Abingdon's main roads.
