This afternoon there was a sponsored dog walk to Radley Lakes.

One.. Two.. Pastures New

1. Chancellors have a large poster in their old shop saying "We have moved to pastures new.'

This is what pastures new is like in the High Street.

2. A little way away in Ock Street a new restaurant called 'Limoncello' is about to open.

Trial Road Markings

Before the second phase of AbITs (Abingdon Integrated Transport Strategy) goes ahead the new Stert Street layout has been outlined in white paint. Most cars are keeping within the white lines.

The one, with blue light flashing, was the one exception.

A similar exercise has been done along High Street, although the work there is not planned for another year.

Other work that has started recently is the widening of the pavement by the bank and the resurfacing of the service road near the Market Place.

The pile of stones gets ever smaller.

Sir Ming Campbell

At lunchtime today, Queen Victoria was disturbed by a crowd bearing orange placards.

The Lib-Dems had an impromptu gathering to meet their national leader, Sir Ming Campbell.

Ming Campbell was a 200 meter sprinter in the 1964 Olympic games, and since 2006 he has been leader of the Liberal-Democratic party.

Some supporters had their picture taken next to Sir Ming.
