Ten Months On - Welcome Home

Welcome Home.

Is the misery finally over for people returning to their homes after last summer's floods?

Not, if every time it rains they have to worry whether it is going to happen again.

Perhaps last year was a freak. Perhaps not. We don't know.

As one who was flooded out last year and returned to normality in February, I hope it was a one off! However I find I get a bit nervous every time we get prolonged rain now, whereas for the past twenty years I've just admired the lake in the field behind my house every year or so!

I did see a lorry clearing out the drains at Frilford this morning. That's the second one 30 years around here, Whhoaaa!.
But flood plains flood. Tax people who have concreted over their front lawns.
